Colourful spring wedding at Stone Barn near Cheltenham
This was such a joyful wedding to be part of! Joe and Sarah had such a clear vision for their spring wedding at the characterful Stone Barn in Upper Windrush near Cheltenham. Part of the Cripps & Co family of barn wedding venues, this venue lends itself to really nature-inspired florals and styling. The brief was colour and we were more than happy to run with it, with a spectacular natural cascade bouquet for Sarah and matching hand-tied bouquets for her bridesmaids in their turquoise dresses.
The large metal wreath ring in the main barn was covered in fresh greenery and on-trend pampas grass for the ceremony whilst the banqueting tables were filled with wooden boxes of flowers and candles on a hot pink runner. The couple added multi-coloured paper lanterns and we styled the wooden pillars with garlands of flowers. The cake table and cake were given the wild flower treatment too and finished with mini cup cakes of the couples pet cat and dog.

The whole story of how they met and planned the wedding is told in the clients own words over on Whimsical Wonderland Weddings.

Love Notes
"From the moment I spoke to Fi on the phone I knew she was the florist for us! Fi is laidback, friendly and so experienced and captured my vision perfectly. When Fi turned up on the morning of the wedding with our bouquets it was like a family member rocking up. Her transformation of the venue had me in happy tears. She understood my vision so well that she added unplanned coloured pampas leaves to the main installation - my husband was correct when he told Fi I would go crazy over it. I really did. Fi also didn't hesitate to provide fresh petals last minute when then venue told us we couldn't use dried. If you want a florist who is prepared to go the extra mile and provide you with flowers everyone will be talking about Fi is the one."

The Wedding Flowers
Sarah had her heart set on a statement bouquet with lots of movement and drama so I created this stunning natural cascade design for her using lots of brightly coloured spring ranunculus flowers together with stocks, delphiniums and scabiosa. Her bridesmaids had hand-tied bouquets to match and the men's boutonnières were a cute collection of grape hyacinths and ranunculus.
The ceremony took place in the main barn under a giant foliage hoop with added pops of orange and pink pampas grass. For the reception, we added tumbling designs on the wooden pillars and filled wooden crates with flowers for the tables.
